Dr. Paola Wessinger has been a member of the Block and Bridle Veterinary Service team since 2018.  As a graduate of the renowned University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in Scotland, Dr. Wessinger has a unique international experience in veterinary medicine.  While abroad, she was able to travel to other countries, such as Morocco, to gain once in a lifetime veterinary knowledge.  After graduation In 2015, Dr. Wessinger returned stateside to complete an intense year-long rotating internship at the well-known Montana Equine Medical and Surgical Center.  Dr. Wessinger furthered her veterinary career at Desert Pines Equine Medical and Surgical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  It is here that she continued to hone her already well-developed veterinary skills in sports medicine and emergency care.  In order to provide more comprehensive patient care, Dr. Wessinger pursued certification in veterinary medical acupuncture at the renouned CuraCore Integrative Medicine and Education Center.  Her integrative therapy education continued at the well-known Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic where she became certified in animal chiropractic.  Dr. Wessinger regularly attends nationally accredited continuing education seminars to remain current in veterinary medical advances, veterinary acupuncture, and veterinary chiropractic.

Dr. Wessinger specializes in all facets of equine sports medicine.  From diagnostics to treatment and long-term management, Dr. Wessinger is passionate about the equine athlete.  It is her goal to provide all patients and clients with the highest level of quality care and understanding.

Having grown up on a small ranch in Southern California, Dr. Wessinger has been around animals her entire life.  From llamas and cows to horses and pigs, Dr. Wessinger has provided care to a vast number of species.  As an outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Wessinger enjoys hiking with her friends and family..
